A "Gripping" Redesign with Interior Primer
Although my summer internship has come to an end, California Paints has decided to keep me on to continue documenting my crazy endeavors in the DIY/Paint/Color world! My first order of business? To finally get you that furniture design I promised ages ago, which means we are also getting close to the great bedroom reveal. I'm practically drooling in anticipation (gross I know). It's that spectacular! I'm not sure if you caught the furniture in the pictures from my introduction to this series. If you have, you would have guessed by now that they really weren't doing much for the overall effect. Here's some pictures in case you missed it...
Loving 20th Century Colors of America
Finally the wait is over for an update to my Modern Makeover bedroom redesign, and I'm in love! In love with Stainless Steel paint color that is! Upon opening the can I was a little wary. The paint appeared almost white. I knew it would dry darker than its liquid paint form but I was still extremely nervous. After placing a swatch on the wall, all my doubts vanished. It was perfect for the space! Ironically this cool gray is warm and inviting with hints of purple, my FAVORITE COLOR. As a neutral, it has so much life and depth and is far from boring. And I wasn't the only one who loved it. Everyone I roped into helping me agreed! Now let's take a look at how I acquired this new infatuation!
Reviving 20th Century Paint Colors
Great News! My first ever apartment lease has just begun! Which means, I have a large amount of interior decorating to get started on. It is currently in a sad state, lacking furniture and décor as well as requiring a much needed paint job. My bedroom is especially awful and is in need of a little TLC. By a little, I really mean A LOT. And as a college student with a limited cash flow, I can’t really afford a lot of TLC right now. Solution: I’m hoping with a little creativity, combined with my passion for bargain hunting and some superior interior paint, I’ll create a beautiful space that I can call my own (well at least ‘til next may)!
